ANTT Angola visits UIC27.03.2024

On 25 March 2024, Dr Enio Costa, CEO of the National Land Transport Authority of Angola (ANTT) and Lenine Narciso, Director of Studies, Planning and Statistics, Ministry of Transport of Angola met with Christian Chavanel, UIC Director of the Rail System Department, and Maria Lafont, Senior Advisor for the Africa Region, at UIC headquarters.

With ANTT planning to join UIC, the discussions focused on a future work programme.

This meeting in Paris follows a UIC delegation visit to Angola in February 2024, during which both parties discussed UIC membership and joint cooperation including safety, security, rolling stock, training, a regulatory framework and participation in the UIC Narrow Gauge Working Group.
